Design and development of automatic dam control system for hydroelectric power plant in Hue, Vietnam

The subject of the project is the development of an automatic control system for inflatable dam management with the goal to protect the city of Hue, Vietnam from floods. The project includes the preparation of technical documentation, manufactoring control cabinets and software which controls the entire process. Based on adequate sensors, the PLC takes appropriate actions for dam inflation or deflation, with the purpose to maintain predefined values of water levels and pressure in the dam. Through an adequate HMI display, the user is provided with a complete insight into current and previous events in the system as well as the ability to optimize the process through the appropriate screens for setting parameters.
